DEF-012 — Stories Management: View Toggle Buttons Non-Functional

Summary

The Grid View and List View toggle buttons on the Stories Management page do not function when clicked. The page remains in its current state with no visual or functional change when either button is pressed.

Environment

  • URL: https://project6.dxtserver.com/drivelink_new/public/admin/stories
  • Module: Admin Panel → Stories → Stories Management
  • Date Observed: 2026-05-15
  • Browser: Chrome (via automated test session)

Screenshot

Stories Management - View Toggle Buttons

The two toggle buttons are visible in the top-right corner of the Stories Management panel (highlighted in the screenshot). The active Grid View button is shown in blue; the List View button is adjacent to it.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to the Admin Panel at https://project6.dxtserver.com/drivelink_new/public/
  2. Navigate to Stories → Stories from the left sidebar.
  3. On the Stories Management page, locate the two view toggle buttons in the top-right area (Grid icon and List icon).
  4. Click the List View button (lines icon).
  5. Observe that the view does not switch to list layout.
  6. Click the Grid View button (grid icon).
  7. Observe that no change occurs.

Expected Behaviour

  • Clicking the List View button should switch the stories display to a list/table layout.
  • Clicking the Grid View button should switch the display to a card/grid layout.
  • The active button should be visually highlighted to reflect the current view mode.

Actual Behaviour

  • Neither button responds to clicks.
  • The view does not change.
  • No visual feedback is given when buttons are pressed.

Severity

Medium — The feature is non-functional but does not block core content management (stories can still be viewed in the default layout).

Priority

Medium
