DEF-009 — Change Password submission provides no feedback on failure

Summary

When entering an incorrect current password with valid matching new passwords and tapping Submit, the screen briefly loads then returns to the Change Password UI with no error message and no confirmation.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Login
  2. Go to Profile/Settings → Change Password
  3. Enter incorrect current password + valid matching new passwords
  4. Tap Submit
  5. Observe screen briefly loads and returns to Change Password UI with no message

Expected Behaviour

If current password is wrong, show a clear error (e.g., “Current password is incorrect”) and keep the user on the form. If it succeeds, show a confirmation and/or require re-login according to session rules.

Actual Behaviour

When entering an incorrect current password with valid matching new passwords and tapping Submit, the screen briefly loads then returns to the Change Password UI with no error message and no confirmation.

Impact

  • User cannot change password and gets no guidance
  • May appear as broken/unresponsive
